We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. You know the har part about the gradient mesh is the shaping of it. But after a while it becomes almost intuitive. So if you want to learn to use it just try it.
I guess an easy project would be to copy a pepper. Draw around it, add the mesh, shape them according to the contour of the pepper and finally copy the color underneath every anchor point in the mesh.
